I heard this quote this week and I can’t get it out of my head…

‘Don’t Change Your Act, Change Your Audience’ – Lisa Sasevich

In the past I have been so guilty of this. I put something great together, put it out into the world, it tanks and then I pull it and start all over again.

Recently I have been taking a far less associated approach to my business and marketing and putting on my scientific hat again – well all those years of study must be good for something!

And do you know what? My act is fine, I’ve been entertaining the wrong audience!

I alluded to this in a previous post ‘What If It’s The Clients That Are Wrong?‘ and it’s a simpler way of thinking of the same thing.

You are great at what you do, you have the client feedback to prove it, but yet you’re still not seeing results. Now it could be a matter of messaging, but what if it’s positioning? What if you are just not getting your great stuff out in front of the right people?

Have a think about it. Are you really putting your content in front of your dream clients? Or are you staying safe, playing small and entertaining the wrong audience?
